Committed to providing you and your baby with the best possible neonatal care

On Tuesday 15 September 2026 the was published. The Inquiry was established following the convictions of former neonatal nurse Lucy Letby. It considered what happened at the Countess of Chester Hospital Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵios Foundation Trust, listened to the experiences of the families affected, and looked at what the Ä¢¹½ÊÓƵios must learn.

We know that having a baby in neonatal care can be an overwhelming and uncertain time. You know your baby best, and you are an essential part of their care. Our commitment is to care for your baby safely and compassionately, keep you informed, involve you in decisions, and take every question or concern seriously.

Our thoughts are first and foremost with the babies and families at the heart of these terrible events. We recognise the report and the news coverage surrounding it may feel deeply upsetting or frightening, particularly if your baby is receiving neonatal care now or has done so in the past.
